There are so many different ways to use PLR. It's great for getting free content out there, you can use it on your blog, in your email marketing, to build your list, turn it into low-cost info products… the list goes on and on.
Today, we want to focus on one of the most profitable ways to use PLR – Turning it into a Coaching Program. This will work with a variety of quality PLR products. And it will work in just about any niche. We'll use our 30 Day Blogging Challenge PLR Bundle as an example.
The nice thing with coaching is that you've got options. We're sharing some of the more common models below. Pick and choose, tweak and edit, and find a way that works for you and your coaching clients.
The Free To Paid Model
In the guide included with the 30 Day Blogging Challenge, we walk you step-by-step through the process of setting up and running your own free challenge to build your list. Starting there, you can easily build your list and start profiting with a paid upsell to the challenge.
Everyone that subscribes gets the daily emails and access to the blog post lessons. Those that pay a small fee – let's use $27 as an example – also get to email you with their questions (limit one question pay day), and you could hold a weekly brainstorming and accountability session via Google Hangouts Live. YouTube will record those sessions for you, set them to unlisted and include a link to the recording for your paying members only.
The Group Coaching Model
If you already have a great list building funnel in place, skip the free step and turn everything into a paid coaching program. Since only your customers get access to the daily lessons, you can charge a higher fee for this. And keep in mind that the more access they get to you – via Google Hangouts, Emails, Skype, a private Facebook group etc. the more you can charge.
Editing and tweaking the coaching for a particular sub-niche also adds a lot of value. Instead of a 30 Day Blogging Challenge, your group coaching could be about “How To Grow Your Photography Blog In 30 Days”, or “Reach More Local Customers This Month” for a 30 Day coaching course for local businesses.
The Fish Bowl Coaching Model
Here's another interesting idea. It's a mix between personal one-on-one coaching and group coaching. The idea is to pick one person and walk them through a project. For our example, you could take on one client that you walk through implementing the 30 Day Blogging Challenge. You cater each daily lesson to this particular person's blog, give assignment and track progress. This person is usually charged for the coaching, but at a rate that's less than your regular personal coaching (see below). In exchange, your client agrees to have you record and share all or most coach / client interaction (leaving out sensitive information of course).
You then sell tickets to others who also get the basic daily lessons along with access to the coaching recordings and/ or live sessions. Since there is interaction with you, and you explaining in detail how to implement this using your one client as an example, you can charge as much or more than the regular group coaching for this.
Here's a quick and inexpensive way to implement this fish bowl coaching model.
Every morning, get on a live Google hangout with your client. You can have this open to the rest of your fish bowl coaching students, or make the recording available to them after. Review how yesterday's lesson was implemented, go over today's tasks and answer any questions your client may have. Keep it short and to the point since you're meeting daily. 15-20 minutes should do the trick most days.
Then send a link to the unlisted YouTube recording along with the daily lesson to the rest of your students. As a bonus, you could set up a private Facebook Group where they can interact, discuss the daily lessons and ask questions.
The Personal Coaching Model
Last but not least you can offer personal coaching to a few select clients. The idea is again to cater the coaching material (in this example the 30 Day Blogging Challenge) to each client and be there to advise about implementation, answer questions and the likes.
You can do this type of coaching via email, Skype, the phone, or private Google Hangouts. Of course any of this can also be recorded so your coaching client has it to review later.
We hope this gives you a good overview of how you can take quality PLR products like ours and turn them into high ticket coaching products.
