Week 2 of Smart Blogging Skills is all about creating a presence on the web.

After all, you won't make much of an impact until people get to know who you are, like what you have to say and believe that you're the person they should go to when they need answers to their questions.

Like Kelly says,

For a lot of people, the About Me page is the first place they look when they land on a new site. You want a page that is compelling, and that will entice your new reader to click through to more of your posts.

Like all of the lessons, there is a pdf “summary” and short audio where Kelly give you practical information that breaks this week's tasks down into bite sized pieces and shares what you need to do and why you need to do it.

This week I'll be working on all of the things she's suggested.  Even though I've had an online presence for awhile now, I think it's time for a makeover.

What Did I Learn from This Lesson?

  • The importance of crafting a good About page
  • Why I should be more active on social media sites like FacebookTwitter and Pinterest
  • How to easily & effectively brainstorm ideas to share with you
  • Why I should cultivate the habit of posting more often
