Let's take a minute to talk about why Outsourcing is a topic you may want to share with your audience.
How often do you hear your readers, subscribers, followers, and even customers talk about how they don’t know how to do something, or they don’t have enough time. They can’t implement what you’re teaching because …
Sound familiar?
The solution to most of these reasons why they aren't able to move forward in their business is outsourcing.
Teach them how to get someone else to do the things they don’t know how to do. Do the things they don’t have time for. Not everything all at once, but a little bit here and there.
…because getting help – outsourcing – is how you get unstuck and grow. That’s how you make progress.
You know this. We know this. It’s time to start the conversation about it with your audience and build some social capital. With an investment of just 10% of revenue that's a nice chunk to get started. When we implemented this in our own business was when we started to see more growth.
Here's a quick example: Let's say you are making $1000 per month. 10% is $100. Let's say your VA charges $25/hr. That's 4 hours of time you can use marketing your business instead of doing basic tasks.
That’s what the whole know-like-trust thing is all about. You provide value. You help your people and they in turn become loyal followers and eventually customers.
Similar to hiring a lawn service, pool cleaner or even a math tutor outsourcing tasks we can't do, don't have time to do or don't want to do is something that seems “normal” in our “real lives but outsourcing for their business may not be something they are open to right away. However, as you and I know, once they try it, even just a little bit, and see the results, they’ll be hooked.
Leverage Your Resources
The second reason why you should share helpful information about outsourcing is that it gives your audience leverage. It helps them reach that next income level. And guess what? If they make more, they can afford to spend more on your products and services (or those you promote as an affiliate). It’s in your best interest to help your audience become successful. Help them grow. Help them make progress. A rising tide lifts all boats.
Easy to Monetize
Last but not least, let’s talk about the bottom line – your financial one. After all, that’s why you’re in business right? There are a few different ways to monetize this content.
The obvious one is that you can share paid products about how to outsource. You could create one yourself, or you could promote something like Cindy Bidar’s Outsourcing Success Plan or Thrive Anywhere's Outsourcing Planner & Workbook.
Build Relationships
Chances are you already know service providers and experts that you, personally, outsource tasks to. Or maybe you just know people that provide services that an entrepreneur would likely use.
Why not build relationships with them? Ask them to cut you a deal or send you a small referral fee if you send more business their way.
As former Virtual Assistants, we can tell you that gaining new clients can take up a big chunk of the day, especially in the beginning. We would have gladly offered a few free hours of work, or paid a referral fee to someone if they got us new clients. It’s more time for billable hours and less time spent marketing.
