Week 13 of Smart Blogging Skills is all about Creating Video Content For Your Blog

I have to confess that I am extremely resistant to video.  I tend not to watch much and I shudder at the thought of appearing on camera. However, I realize there is great power in video content.  In fact, I was watching a super funny You Tube video last night that had me laughing until I wanted to pee my pants. You can see it here. I have to say that Trisha has a completely cool husband.  I don't think my husband would let me video him like that much less post it for the world to see.  Go check it out and then come back and let me know if you weren't totally sucked into it and laughing your butt off.

What did you think?  Did it make you laugh? Did you watch the entire thing to see what he'd do next?  I know I did.

That's the power of video and I think I really need to start wrapping my mind around getting some video created.

Like all of the lessons, there is a pdf “summary” and short audio where Kelly give you practical information that breaks this week's tasks down into bite sized pieces and shares what you need to do and why you need to do it.

This Lesson Will Teach You:

  • Why you should start using video.
  • What types of video devices you can get started with.
  • Project suggestions that will help you get comfortable in front of the camera.
  • A cool tech trick that will help you create video interviews.
  • Tools to use for screen capture and editing video.
