Let's talk about whether or not PLR saves you time.
Today's video and this blog post are about using PLR to save you time and mental energy. There are some things you need to be aware of when editing PLR to make sure that happens. Because, let's face it, we can all stretch work into whatever amount of time we can give it. And if we're not careful, we spend more time polishing that pre-written article than it would have taken us to create it from scratch.
If you're interested in learning more about this idea that work stretches to fit the amount of time we give it, take a look at Parkinson's Law. I'm happy to create a video about it if there's interest. It's one of those concepts that made a huge difference in my mindset and my productivity.
Watch this short video that answers the question “Does PLR Save You Time?”
Here’s a question we hear quite frequently. Does PLR actually save you time?
My answer is this:
Generally, yes, but it depends. There are several factors at play here:
- Quality of the PLR content.
- How far the content is from its intended use.
- What you use it for.
- How much you want it to reflect your voice.
- How much work you want to put into it.
- How much practice you have working with PLR.
What does all that mean?
It means that PLR can save you time and mental energy, but only if you let it.
Expect that it will take you longer in the beginning. Think of it as practice. Time yourself and challenge yourself to get better and faster once you start getting the hang of it. Batch using PLR in a certain way where it makes sense to make it even faster. For example, take ten PLR articles and turn all of them into blog post drafts ready to publish over time.
Be aware—even if it’s just in the back of your mind—that PLR should save you time. Don’t polish and tweak more than you need to.
Start with quality PLR to begin with. I stressed this several times over the course of this video series. Good PLR can save you time and give you something you’ll be proud to put your name to. Bad PLR can take much longer to fix than it would have taken to create it from scratch.
